Position Title: Sr. Contract Administrator
Position Description
The Sr. Contracts Administrator supports Gulf's overall business objectives by managing the complete contract lifecycle, from scope development, bid process, negotiation, and award, through contract administration, management of change, invoicing, payment, and closeout.
Essential Functions
Leads a staff of Contracts Administrators and is capable of taking responsibility for a broad range of contract formation and administration activities
Has a deep understanding of commercial and contractual risk and best practices for risk mitigation
Participates in the strategic assessment of potential contracts
Assists with the development of contract management processes and procedures
Provides complete contract administration functions with a particular focus on change management, to include the documentation of potential changes to scope and schedule, tracking extra work requests and site instructions, and the final negotiation of changes.
Monitors contractor performance through weekly progress meetings, and ensures compliance with applicable laws, delivery schedules, payment provisions, data reporting requirements, and other contractual deliverables and requirements.
Drafts all correspondence for assigned contracts
Maintains files of all contracts for designated projects
Provides project control with cost trends for contracts
Review, extract and summarize key elements of contracts for updates to project management and others
Develop and maintain a calendar of key dates related to terms and milestones for contracts.
Performs special projects as required

Preferred Qualifications
7
years of experience in contracts administration
Knowledge of contractual language and terminology, legal experience a plus
Basic knowledge of
engineering
services
for oil and gas pipeline projects, or related fields
Familiarity with insurance terms, policies, coverage types, and risk management
Perform tasks and work assignments with minimal instruction
Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Impeccable drafting and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to consistently provide accurate and timely work product
Use of independent judgment and creativity applied to the resolution of issues
Poise and credibility to interface frequently with project managers, procurement managers, attorneys, internal business partners, executives, clients and contractors
Self-initiative and strong sense of urgency
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines
Experience with schedule analysis and claims management is highly desirable
Proficient in working independently and within a team-oriented environment.
Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
Supervisory experience is required
Understanding of contract language with respect to project scope of work and client requirements/expectations

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
