Westrock, a large multinational packaging company, is seeking highly motivated individuals to work in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in Lake Mary Florida.
Prepress-Platemaker Associate - Lake Mary, FL The Opportunity:
Responsible for all activities associated with the Prepress Department including Print Plate Making, Die Mounting & Producing Ink.
Make printing plates using photo polymer material, film and light tableAccurate and efficient mounting of printing plates in accordance with proper techniques Proof printing plates for accuracy.
Maintain Ink inventory and coordinate with production to determine needs.
Mix batches of ink operating the Ink Kitchen.
Coordinate with production Supervisors for print plate, ink and die needs to adhere to scheduleMaintain locations and organization of print plates and cutting dies.
Assist machine operators and helpers with preparing for production orders Uphold WestRock's priority-hierarchy of Safety, Quality, Cost, and Productivity.
Take a proactive approach in the maintenance, housekeeping and overall upkeep of assigned equipment.

What you need to succeed:
Minimum requirement of high school diploma or GED.
Prior experience with prepress or in a printing or manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to read, understand and follow safe work/process instructions in English.
Ability to read a standard tape measure with speed and accuracy.
Ability to apply concepts of high school math.
Ability to constructively problem-solve, maintain positive, proactive behaviors and maintain a safe work environment.
